Music And TV Shows

5-O

There have been some cracking tunes on our screens through the years when we have sat down to watch our favourite television shows but what are the best ones out there and is it because they have used any instrument like guitars in particular or just because they are great theme songs?

The A Team

This is one of the most recognised tunes in television history without a doubt. This one combined drum kits and outrageous guitar playing to make it one of the most loved themes ever, they are actually trying to remake a film for this that is released this year. Surely this is going to suck considering none of the original cast is going to be in it.

The Saint

Anyone else remember the doo doo’s of the saint theme tune? His character in this was actually a lot like James Bond’s, it was also this that kick started his career. It is not known exactly when Moore was approached for the role of Bond as some say he was approached right when Dr No was in the process. He was approached many times during the saint but had to say no due to filming constraints.

Hawaii 5-O

This has to be my favourite television theme song of all time. It ran for an amazing twelve seasons from 1968-1980. You knew what was being watched from the other side of the house when the music started on this one. Whenever this was on we would all have ab it of a dance to it, a fantastic tune.

So what makes these theme songs so brilliant? It has to be a combination of everything from acoustic guitars to the genius creators behind the pieces of music themselves. If you have not heard any of these then you should really give them a listen to!
