Then in 2004, Brad took the lead role in Troy, portraying Achilles, for which he received the Teen Choice Award and a nomination for MTV’s Best Male Performance award, the worldwide box office totals from ‘Troy’ amounted to nearly $500 million. Two Brad Pitt Films that failed to garner any awards or nominations since 2004 were, ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ and ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’. However both of these films grossed over $100 million dollars in box office receipts.
The most recent Brad Pitt film to collect a nomination was ‘The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button’, where Brad received a total of 5 nominations for Best Actor and Outstanding Performance by a Male actor from the Golden Globes, the SAG, BAFTA and the Oscars. Upcoming Brad Pitt films are ‘The Tree of Life’ and ‘Inglourious Basterds’ both scheduled for 2009 release. ‘Inglourious Basterds’, a Quentin Tarantino movie, is based on an earlier movie and has an epic World War II theme.
